Big Firsts

Lilly has been making great progress in her overall development in the last few weeks.  She turns 9 months old on Sunday and I am not sure that I am ready for that yet.  Here is a list of some of her big "firsts" from recent days:

  • pulling herself up to standing in her crib (which she did just days after we lowered it down, thank goodness!)
  • getting 2 teeth in
  • climbing up the stairs (at least the two that we have)
  • eating a banana whole (she gets the cutest big cheeks!)
  • dancing and singing when music turns on
  • drinking from a "big" cup
  • eating most things with her own fingers
  • noticing similar things (for instance, I have buttons on my shirt like Mommy has on her shirt)
  • waving (whole-armed)
  • turning pages is the book while Mom reads
  • reading to herself
  • pulling herself up on the couch
  • exploring cupboards and drawers and emptying them of their contents
  • jabbering with great intention
  • sing into the microphone (she's playing with that right now...)
  • giving a cheesy grin
  • following us around the house

That little girl is too cute for words! And look at all those milestones! She's getting so big!
