Since we don't have any children of our own yet (and no, the title is not meant to imply that,) we have to share pictures of the other children we love.
First of all, I have my students. I love Fire Safety week at school because that means we get to make these adorable firefighter hats! I have loved doing them since my first year of teaching--I think the kids look adorable. I may have even shared the picture from last year, but hopefully you have forgotten so they still look cute to you.
Then, we moved on to Thanksgiving. Our school serves a "Thanksgiving" dinner lunch the week before Thanksgiving, so we have our students put on Pilgrim hats and American Indian headbands to go to the "feast." I love the Pilgrim hats, so we were the pilgrims this year.
Finally, my sister had her baby last Sunday, October 11th. His name is Michael Roberts (they stole the name I wanted, but I am Ok with it because I haven't convinced Pret that Michael is not too popular, and this didn't help any.) He was named after his father, both grandfathers (one of which he shares a birthday with), an uncle, a couple cousins, and even his brother (Matthew Michael). Anyway, we haven't seen him in person yet, but he looks pretty cute!
Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope that it is a restful time. I am looking forward to sleeping in (although I will probably head to Kohls early on Friday, but come back and go to sleep again...) and Thanksgiving at my Aunt and Uncle's house, Denise and Dave Johnsen, in Kaysville, UT.
